About The Position

The position is responsible for collecting various traits of broilers processed in a R&D processing plant. Applicants must have no disciplinary actions within the last 6 months, a point level of 4 or less, and maintain a pace of data collection within 15% of the average rate of all data collectors. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Tyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements

  • Must currently have and consistently maintain 4 attendance points or less.
  • Maintain a pace of data collection within 15% of the average rate of all data collectors.
  • Must be willing to sign and abide by the company Animal Welfare and Biosecurity guidelines.
  • Must use safe lifting techniques.
  • Must regularly lift equipment that is 10-30 pounds.
  • Required to use wheeled dollies to move up to 300 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use left and right hands to grab/handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.
  • Must be able to grasp objects steadily.
  • Must have full dexterity of left and right hand while using them simultaneously.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Team member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks.

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOPs to ensure correct data collection during processing and deboning
  • Follow SOPs for specific meat quality data collection
  • Keep performance in required standard monitored by specific tests; outliers, bad data.
  • Handle and set up equipment accordingly and keep it in good condition
  • Comply to specific guidelines for specific R&D projects.
