About The Position

The position is responsible for specific tasks as well as general support of the Academic Team. The Data Coach will take a hands-on approach to coaching sessions, with goals to impact and improve instruction, student learning, and teacher development. Coaching sessions may include but are not limited to supporting teachers in the administration of assessments, guiding teachers through data analysis, helping teachers plan instruction, and facilitating professional development. As an advisor to teachers, the Data Coach is responsible for the following: Instructional Support ○ Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the curriculum, assessment, and data analysis. ○ Support teachers in utilizing school-wide data to inform individual and small group classroom supports. ■ Review class and individual student data with individual teachers and teams of teachers ■ Guide teachers in intentionally grouping studen ■ Provide suggested small group and individual Tier I in-class interventions for reading and math Develop and monitor RTI plan ○ Develop school-wide, grade level, and cohort data profiles ○ Develop and monitor Tiered Response Plans for students needing Tier II and Tier III (RTI) interventions ○ In collaboration with administration and other faculty, support students, parents, and school staff with supplemental programs that meet the needs of students, parents, and teachers Data and Reporting ○ Collect and organize school-wide data in a user-friendly manner ○ Navigate assessment platform and pull appropriate school-wide, class, and student reports ○ Analyze testing results ○ Complete Title compliance documentation in a timely manner. ○ Prepare reports and presentations to share progress with school leadership, staff, and parents. Collaboration ○ Assess new students in reading and math and provide data summary to impacted faculty ○ Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and other coaches. ○ Participate fully in faculty meetings and professional development meetings/in-services, contributing to school-wide goals.

Requirements

  • Understanding of curriculum, assessment, and data analysis.
  • Ability to utilize school-wide data to inform individual and small group classroom supports.
  • Experience reviewing class and individual student data with teachers.
  • Skill in guiding teachers in student grouping.
  • Ability to provide suggested small group and individual Tier I in-class interventions for reading and math.
  • Experience developing and monitoring RTI plans.
  • Ability to develop school-wide, grade level, and cohort data profiles.
  • Experience developing and monitoring Tiered Response Plans for students needing Tier II and Tier III (RTI) interventions.
  • Ability to support students, parents, and school staff with supplemental programs.
  • Skill in collecting and organizing school-wide data.
  • Proficiency in navigating assessment platforms and pulling reports.
  • Ability to analyze testing results.
  • Experience completing Title compliance documentation.
  • Skill in preparing reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess new students in reading and math and provide data summaries.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with teachers, administrators, and coaches.
  • Full participation in faculty meetings and professional development.
