The team manages testing facilities in the UK and US, with a major investment to make the Pangbourne campus a center of excellence for electric mobility and energy technologies. The AET team will operate a new battery testing center and a Data Centre Test Facility with immersion tanks for server testing. This Engineer role is co-located with a data center cooling technology specialist joint venture company in San Jose, California. The position involves executing R&D, testing, and engineering projects supporting Castrol's data center and thermal management business, ranging from standard test methods to developing novel testing techniques. The scope covers mobility, power, and data center industries, with a technical focus on thermal management, cooling, system power flow, electronics performance, instrumentation, and high-accuracy testing. The Engineer will specialize in data center liquid cooling and collaborate with Castrol Technology and business stakeholders, potentially working under the supervision of Senior Engineers, Expert Engineers, and the AET manager. The role requires active progression of professional competency to deliver projects autonomously and may involve pursuing professional accreditation.
