Penguin Solutions Professional Services provides essential engineering services for the integration, configuration, and deployment of complex, integrated environments involving high-performance computing, cloud, and enterprise systems. This position requires excellent customer service skills along with strong technical skills to install, document, configure, troubleshoot, and repair the deployed solutions.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of experience in service installation of CAT6 and fiber cables.
Hands-on experience building or repairing compute servers.
Familiarity with data center settings.
US citizenship required.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Linux preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Build, install, and troubleshoot complex computer and network systems independently and as part of a team.
Perform in-factory and on-site racking and cabling, systems configuration, and systems verification.
Assist local technical support and repair engineers.
Test and troubleshoot computer hardware and network issues.
Fully document processes, procedures, and all work performed.
Participate in growing Penguin Solutions’ technical capabilities through knowledge-sharing and team activities.
Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Travel up to 60% required.
