About The Position

This role involves performing essential tasks within a data center environment, focusing on the installation, management, and organization of cabling infrastructure. The technician will be responsible for pulling, installing, and connecting fiber optic and copper cabling, ensuring proper dressing, labeling, and organization. The position requires adherence to data center standards and safety procedures, with a preference for candidates who have experience in testing and troubleshooting network infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

• Testing/troubleshooting experience is preferred but not needed
• Experience with fiber/copper testing and troubleshooting is a plus (fluke/OTDR)

Responsibilities

• Pull and install fiber optic cabling
• Work with backbone fiber including: 288-count fiber, 144-count fiber
• Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes
• Cable dressing, labeling, and organization
• Terminations fiber/copper
• Assist with fiber testing and troubleshooting utilizing: Fluke test equipment, OTDR testing equipment
• Follow data center standards and safety procedures
