About The Position
DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Data Center Supervisor - Kitting for their Solutions division in New Albany, USA. This full-time position involves supervising production associates in tasks related to freight loading/unloading, material accounting using multiple systems, and overseeing the assembly and installation of server racks and components. The role requires the ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. The working environment involves complex assignments utilizing multiple systems, maintaining service level agreements, ensuring safety protocols, and frequent interaction with customers, peers, and subordinates. Requirements
- Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests
- Solid interpersonal and analytical skills are required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
- Generally prefer 3-6 years’ experience in material handling operations
Responsibilities
- Oversees, organizes, and coordinates cycle counts, inventory replenishments and material returns
- Ensures adequate safety measures are followed to protect personnel and property
- Advises subordinates with questions or problems in any aspect of work activities
- Monitors work and examines production areas for accuracy, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
- Recommends and implements documented changes to procedures to improve efficiency, quality and safety
- Performs or assists subordinates in performance of duties
