Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise data center management and engineering.
  • 7+ years of deep expertise in specialized domains (e.g., hyper-converged infrastructure, high-speed storage fabrics).
  • Recognized authority in data center technologies with a record of leading large-scale federal projects.
  • Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) or eligibility to obtain one.

  • Preferred Certifications
  • Federal & Security: CISSP or CISM.
  • Domain-Specific: VMware Certified Implementation Expert (VCIX) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) - Data Center.
  • Architecture/Management: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Professional.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying FedRAMP Moderate/High baselines for hybrid environments.
  • Technical implementation of NIST 800-53 Rev 5 controls for physical data centers.
  • Knowledge of federal green-data-center mandates and energy efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level advisory services for the design and operation of multi-site federal data centers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical, tier-4 infrastructure issues that impact agency-wide mission capabilities.
  • Technical implementation of advanced storage optimization and high-performance compute clusters.
  • Serve as the technical lead for data center technology refreshes and site-to-site migration strategies.
  • Analyze infrastructure for resiliency gaps and design remediation plans that exceed federal uptime requirements.
  • Mentor architects and engineers on emerging data center technologies and software-defined architectures.
  • Technical implementation of security controls for virtualized environments in accordance with NIST 800-53.
