About The Position

The Data Center Manager is responsible for the overall operation, availability, security, and efficiency of one or more data center facilities. This role oversees infrastructure, capacity planning, vendor management, and operational processes to ensure reliable delivery of IT services while meeting business, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data center operations, facilities management, or infrastructure management
Strong knowledge of data center power, cooling, and physical infrastructure
Experience with capacity planning, change management, and incident management
Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
Strong vendor management and contract oversight experience

Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day operations of the data center, including power, cooling, space, cabling, and physical security
Ensure high availability and reliability of data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, and facilities systems)
Lead capacity planning for space, power, and cooling to support current and future business needs
Develop and maintain operational procedures, standards, and documentation
Coordinate and oversee hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
Manage relationships with vendors, colocation providers, and service partners
Monitor and respond to incidents, outages, and escalations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed
Ensure compliance with security, safety, regulatory, and audit requirements (e.g., ISO, SOC, NIST, or internal controls)
Develop and manage budgets related to data center operations and capital expenditures
Lead, mentor, and manage data center staff and/or onsite contractors
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing
