About The Position

The Data Center Logistics Specialist I performs logistics duties in a data center, including inventory, asset, and data management. The role receives and ships goods and installs or decommissions assets using a warehouse management system and material handling equipment. Under close supervision and approved procedures, the specialist supports routine hardware installation, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and outage resolution while following data center security and compliance protocols.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to utilize a computer.

Responsibilities

Handle incoming and outgoing hardware, including servers, parts, and cables.
Manage inventory, asset tagging, and tracking systems, and stage equipment for installation.
Install servers by racking and stacking equipment, connecting power and network cables, and troubleshooting basic hardware issues.
Prepare hardware for deployment through labeling, configuration, and quality checks.
Perform routine data center hardware installation, including equipment identification, basic rack-and-stack support, cable placement, labeling, documentation, and housekeeping, under close supervision and approved procedures.
Respond quickly to alerts and incidents to minimize downtime.
Perform server maintenance and upgrades, routine troubleshooting, and outage resolution.
Maintain environmental conditions to prevent overheating, outages, or infrastructure damage.
Maintain data center security protocols, including controlling access to systems and facilities.
Protect compliance and sensitive data according to company policy and protocols.
