About The Position
The Installer will perform all basic and intermediate installation work activities in central office environments. The Installer will be coached and mentored as needed. The project is currently day work, and the team says it will remain day work for the foreseeable future. However, occasionally resources may be asked to work a night shift.
Requirements
- Must clearly understand the installation and decommissioning of data center equipment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must have own basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers).
- Wear work boots.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with power distribution units (PDUs), fiber optic cables, copper cables, and patch panels.
- Open to future travel.
- Willing to work only locally.
Responsibilities
- Perform all basic and intermediate installation work activities in central office environments.
- Understand the installation and decommissioning of data center equipment.
- Create and apply accurate labels to cables and equipment.
- Install various types of cables (including fiber optic and copper) while adhering to industry standards and color codes.
- Terminate RJ45 connectors on cables.
- Work with power distribution units (PDUs), fiber optic cables, copper cables, and patch panels.
