About The Position

This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems within a data center environment. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, replace components, and respond to equipment failures to ensure the protection of critical IT assets. The position also involves escalating critical events, assisting in root cause analysis, and working flexible hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• EPA Section 608 Certification
• 2+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with BMS/BAS systems for monitoring and control.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including CRAC/CRAH units, Airewall’s, chillers, condensers, & pumps.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) per schedule to ensure reliable system performance.
• Replace filters, and other mechanical components as needed.
• Respond quickly to mechanical equipment failures or temperature excursions to protect IT assets.
• Escalate critical events to management and assist in root cause analysis after incidents.
