About The Position

Jabil is hiring a Data Center Field Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and replace server and infrastructure hardware at customer data centers supporting mission-critical financial services systems. The role is performed independently on-site in coordination with Jabil’s remote technical support teams. The engineer follows approved procedures, performs basic diagnostics, restores systems to operational status with minimal disruption, and maintains accurate service documentation while complying with customer security, safety, access, and change-control requirements. The position is based at financial data centers in the New York/New Jersey metro area, including sites in Secaucus, Carteret, Mahwah, and New York City. The regular schedule is 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, with some Saturday hours on call. The position primarily involves nights, weekends, customer maintenance windows outside trading hours, and may require holiday work. Employees must participate in an on-call rotation and travel frequently between local customer sites, sometimes multiple times in one shift. A valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation are required. Approved business travel expenses are reimbursed under company policies. Candidates should have a basic professional field-service toolkit and maintain it. Jabil reimburses approved purchases of specialized or customer-specific tools needed for assigned work when they are not part of a standard toolkit. The work takes place in controlled-temperature data centers with elevated noise levels and includes standing, bending, and working in confined rack spaces. The role requires lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and passing customer background checks and access requirements. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. The pay range is $65,500–$117,900. Actual pay depends on job-related factors including qualifications, experience, location, education, market data, and internal equity. Jabil lists medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, company-paid holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan, and an employee stock purchase plan.
