About The Position

The Data Center Electrician will perform and support data center electrical deployment activities from overhead busway through cabinet-level power. This role will install and validate power equipment, support safe cabinet energization, replace in-rack power distribution units (PDUs), and help to maintain redundant, balanced, and reliable critical power paths. Work will be coordinated closely with Salute site leadership.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical distribution systems.
Working knowledge of overhead busway, tap boxes, breakers, cabinet power whips, grounding and bonding, rack PDUs, and three-phase power concepts.
Demonstrated ability to read electrical one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment labels, and installation documentation.
Current NFPA 70E training and qualification to perform assigned electrical work, or the ability to obtain required qualification before assignment.
Applicable electrical license, credential, or employer authorization required by the work location and assigned task.
Ability to use electrical test equipment and torque tools safely and accurately within the individual's training and authorization.
Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills in an active data center environment.
Work in an active data center environment and comply with all site access, personal protective equipment, and safety requirements.
Safely lift, position, and handle tools, cabling, tap boxes, and rack-level electrical components within established team-lift and equipment-handling limits.
Work at elevation using approved access equipment and perform tasks around overhead busway and cabinet infrastructure, as authorized.
Support scheduled deployment windows, maintenance periods, or off-hours energization activities when required.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting live data center deployments, cabinet energization, or critical power operations.
Experience with redundant A/B power architectures, UPS capacity management, load balancing, and infrared thermography.
OSHA 10/30, lockout/tagout, first aid/CPR, or related site-safety training.

Responsibilities

Inspect overhead busway conditions before installation and identify visible defects or unsafe conditions.
Install customer-provided tap boxes in accordance with approved electrical layouts and designated cabinet power assignments.
Verify placement, orientation, electrical security, breaker sizing, labeling, and applicable torque requirements.
Support busway maintenance activities, including infrared (IR) scanning, as assigned.
Complete required installation documentation and activity reporting.
Route and secure cabinet power whips from tap boxes to customer cabinets.
Connect cabinet input power and verify cable integrity, connection points, and phase configuration where applicable.
Confirm labeling and complete a cable-management review.
Verify cabinets are securely mounted and stabilized and proper grounding/bonding installed, free of visible damage, and configured in accordance with approved documentation.
Confirm the cabinet and surrounding work area are safe and ready for energization.
Coordinate energization with operations teams; activate breakers and validate voltage in accordance with approved procedures and authorization.
Confirm successful cabinet power-up and document completed energization activities.
Remove failed or designated in-rack PDUs and install approved replacements.
Reconnect server power cords, restore orderly cable management, and verify cord connections.
Perform functional verification and confirm restored cabinet operation.
Validate cabinet power assignments to maintain end-to-end A/B redundancy and avoid introducing single points of failure.
Confirm loads are balanced across UPS systems and remain within defined capacity and operating limits.
Monitor circuit loading and escalate conditions that could create overload or redundancy risk.
Coordinate distribution changes with site operations and customer stakeholders.
Maintain alignment with approved electrical one-line diagrams and power plans throughout deployment.
Perform work in accordance with site electrical safety policies, lockout/tagout requirements, approved procedures, and applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 70E.
Coordinate with site operations and customer representatives before energization or other electrical switching activities. Exercise best practices to minimize disruption and maintain equipment integrity during all replacement activities.
Prepare required energized electrical work permit documentation; CoreWeave retains responsibility for review and approval of work performed in accordance with NFPA 70E.
Stop work and promptly escalate unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, design conflicts, capacity concerns, or deviations from approved plans.
