Data Center Dock Supervisor
About The Position
Supervises production associates who are performing tasks related to loading and unloading freight, accounting for materials utilizing multiple systems and overseeing the assembly and installation of server racks and their components. This is an entry-level leadership role requiring solid interpersonal and analytical skills. The position involves utilization of multiple internal and external systems and dashboards to ensure process compliance and accuracy, maintaining service level agreements, and ensuring subordinates follow safety protocols and standards. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals could result in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules. The role requires frequent interaction with customers, peers, and other site stakeholders on site, in addition to subordinates.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Generally prefer 3-6 years’ experience in material handling operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees, organizes, and coordinates cycle counts, inventory replenishments and material returns
- Ensures adequate safety measures are followed to protect personnel and property
- Advises subordinates with questions or problems in any aspect of work activities.
- Monitors work and examines production areas for accuracy, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Recommends and implemented documented changes to procedures to improve efficiency, quality and safety
- Performs or assists subordinates in performance of duties.
