AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring the cloud runs smoothly. This role is part of a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers who collaborate to deliver high standards of safety and security while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost. As a member of the global controls team, you will work with experts and innovators in the data center industry, focusing on troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS). You will leverage Amazon leadership principles to develop new processes and standards and drive innovation in the controls space. AWS data centers utilize numerous components like generators, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, VFDs, transfer switches, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, and air economizers. These components have local control systems that communicate via various protocols. The BMS controls mechanical systems, and the EPMS monitors electrical systems within the data center.
