About The Position

Innova Solutions is hiring a Data Center Construction Manager for a six-month contract in Abilene, Texas, with possible contract extension or hire. The position involves managing data center construction operations, including scheduling, labor planning, material coordination, and daily field activities. The manager leads jobsite safety, incident investigations, and compliance efforts while fostering a strong safety culture. The role oversees structured cabling and fiber installation, testing, commissioning, and adherence to applicable industry standards. It also leads and develops large field teams of more than 100 people and serves as the primary client liaison to support successful project execution. Candidates must be engaged on a W-2 basis; 1099 and Corp-to-Corp arrangements are not considered.

Requirements

8–10 years of supervisory experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, fiber, or data center construction.
Experience managing large field teams of 100 or more personnel.
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety practices, commissioning, quality control, and construction documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, construction management software, and schedule interpretation.
Must be able to work on a W-2 basis; 1099 and Corp-to-Corp arrangements are not considered.

Nice To Haves

Data center new-build or retrofit experience.
Experience with union telecom crews and labor compliance.
OSHA 30, BICSI TECH, and/or BICSI RCDD certifications.
Knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NEBS standards.
