Data Center Cleaning Technician I
About The Position
The Data Center Cleaning Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of our controlled environments. This position is not only about keeping areas visually clean but ensuring that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously maintained to meet the strict guidelines of cleanliness required in a data center setting. The shift details are Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 1:30pm. Hours may change based on staffing needs, including employee call-outs or PTO. The position may occasionally require travel to other states to provide additional support.
Requirements
- Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
- Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work & Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Pass a background check and I-9
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities: Stand, Walk, Lift/Climb, Talk/Hear, Use hands to finger, handle or feel, Reach with hands or arms.
- The Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines.
- Continually monitor the cleaning procedures to ensure all cleaning is completed promptly and correctly.
- Responsible for participating in continuous training: Data Center, technical skills, safety, performance improvement.
- Micro-cleaning all surfaces within the general & critical environment including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.
- Follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail including documentation.
- Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances).
- Review change to SOP/SOW documentation and re-train.
- Assist in the cross training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.
- All other duties as defined by supervisor.
