About The Position

This role is designed for technicians currently working in data centers who are seeking opportunities beyond basic installations or ticket resolution. It offers a chance to work on long-term projects for a reputable company, focusing on high-level network validation and troubleshooting. The position provides experience that directly translates into network engineering, serving as a career-building move rather than a short-term engagement. The work involves validating entire network environments before go-live, tracing circuits end-to-end (Layer 1-3), reading and utilizing engineering diagrams & EDPs, identifying potential issues before they escalate into outages, and acting as a crucial part of network quality and accuracy. It combines hands-on work with analytical tasks in a high-impact environment within data centers.

Requirements

• Experience working in data centers
• Willingness to travel to various sites including Columbus, OH (New Albany), Dallas, TX, Memphis, TN, Salt Lake City, UT, Montgomery, AL, and Los Angeles, CA
• Ability to work from engineering diagrams & EDPs
• Skills in tracing circuits end-to-end (Layer 1-3)
• Ability to identify network issues

Responsibilities

• Perform network audits & infrastructure validation
• Build and maintain circuit maps and topology diagrams
• Troubleshoot connectivity + configuration issues
• Validate fiber, copper, and device connectivity
• Compare real-world installs vs engineering designs
• Document findings and work with engineers to resolve gaps
