Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse and inventory management, preferably in high-tech or hardware environments
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, warehouse systems, and ERP software (NetSuite)
  • Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent inventory reconciliation experience with large data sets using Google Sheets/Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse type of equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational discipline

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data center, electronics, or hardware deployment environments
  • Experience with Compliance, Standards & Governance (e.g. SOX and NIST 800-88)
  • Exposure to fixed asset tracking and physical inventory audits

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that every piece of hardware, from the moment it’s ordered to the day it’s decommissioned, is tracked with 100% accuracy
  • Be responsible for data center asset lifecycle management: covering the entire process from receiving, deployment to retirement for all core DC equipment
  • Conduct daily operations including inbound and outbound hardware asset management, cycle count, RMA, relocation, decommission, inventory management, etc
  • Track and document data center asset receipts, moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning
  • Ability to work with high volumes of unstructured data and create appropriate data structures to provide insights
  • Coordinate periodic physical inventory and asset audits at data centers to ensure the system records are updated accordingly
  • Act as the first point of escalation of all hardware asset management operational related matters for all regions
  • Maintain SOP and promote best practices company wide and incorporate SOPs & practices into asset management systems
  • Support processes to ensure all fixed assets are physically or systematically verified and aligned with the Company’s data center infrastructure management system and asset tracking systems
  • Maintain data governance standards, making it easy for business users to discover the data they need by documenting definitions, sources, and business rules
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement projects focused on data center and warehouse management process optimization and scalability
  • Interface with Accounting, Finance, Engineering and Compliance teams to ensure asset management compliance
