About The Position

The Data Business Analyst Senior connects business needs with data and technology solutions that support better reporting, analytics, and decision-making. You’ll lead requirements gathering, analyze data and processes, and partner with business and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen your expertise in data, technology, and financial services while driving meaningful improvements across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading business or systems analysis, including requirements gathering and supporting technology or data solutions.
• 3+ years of experience with data analysis, reporting, analytics, data management, or related systems analysis.
• 1+ year of experience in financial services, banking, or another regulated environment.
• 1+ year of experience using SQL or a similar data querying tool for data investigation, validation, root cause analysis, or data quality efforts.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of experience with modern data and analytics platforms such as Snowflake, Power BI, or similar technologies.
• 1+ year of experience supporting data quality, controls, risk management, or operational quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder discussions and discovery sessions to define business objectives, priorities, and clear data and system requirements.
• Analyze business processes, data flows, integrations, and dependencies to identify impacts and support effective solution design.
• Document requirements, process flows, data mappings, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data definitions to guide delivery teams.
• Investigate data issues using SQL and analytical methods, identify root causes, and recommend practical remediation options.
• Partner with business, Data Management, Data Engineering, IT, analytics, reporting, and technology teams to support end-to-end solution delivery.
• Support test planning, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, implementation readiness, and post-delivery validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, automate manual work, and enhance data quality and reporting.
• Validate data and reporting solutions to ensure they are accurate, complete, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
