About The Position

As a Data Engineer within our Enterprise IT Applications team, you will play a key role in advancing our data-driven strategy. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies, you will design, develop, and optimise scalable data solutions that enable reliable reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our centralised data warehouse, building robust ETL pipelines, and ensuring data quality, security, and governance across our data ecosystem. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, driving continuous improvement, and turning business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and delivering data warehouse solutions.
• Strong expertise in SQL, ETL processes, data modelling, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Confident building and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, governance, and security standards are consistently met.
• Enjoy collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders, translating requirements into effective data solutions.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience within ERP environments, data migrations, and system integrations is highly valued.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills, ideally with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Familiarity with the Azure data ecosystem, including Data Lake Storage, Azure Functions, and Microsoft Purview.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions, ETL pipelines, and data models.
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple source systems while applying business logic and validation rules.
• Develop and automate data processes, reports, and dashboards to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.
• Monitor, analyse, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve data collection, integration, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery.
• Lead data-focused projects and manage priorities effectively across multiple initiatives.
