About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data architecture principles and extensive hands-on experience with modern data platforms. This role involves designing and implementing robust data solutions, particularly within the financial services domain. You will be instrumental in shaping our data landscape, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in ODS design, data modeling, and data dictionaries.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (beyond user-level).
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and batch processing.
• Experience in the financial services or lending domain.
• Familiarity with API-based data integration patterns.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with FDR or similar loan servicing platforms.
• Knowledge of data mesh or domain-oriented data ownership models.
• Familiarity with AI/ML data pipeline requirements.
• Experience with data governance tooling (Collibra, Alation, etc.).
• Background in student lending or consumer finance.
• Informatica experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement optimal ODS (Operational Data Store) solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive data models and data dictionaries.
• Build and manage robust ETL/ELT pipelines and batch processing systems.
• Integrate data from various sources using API-based patterns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on data architecture best practices.
