About The Position

This is a temporary Data Architect position located in Tallahassee, FL, with an estimated duration of 12+ months and possible extensions. The role requires 100% of the time to be spent at the Client’s site, with no telecommuting or remote work. Candidates must be able to relocate as required. The Data Architect will be responsible for enterprise-wide data design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors. They will focus on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design, defining data architecture standards, policies, and procedures. This role also involves business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy, and load strategy design and implementation. The Data Architect will work on multiple projects as a project leader or subject matter expert, handling complex issues that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.

Requirements

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL
• Experience with large and complex database management systems. (7+ years)
• Experience in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts
• SQL experience
• SME or lead experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for enterprise-wide data design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors
• Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts
• Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design.
• Defines data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects.
• Responsible for business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation.
• Works on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert.
• Works on projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
