About The Position
The Data Architect will play a key role in shaping how data is structured, governed, and used across the organization. This role involves defining standards for data and metadata to enable scalable, high-quality data foundations that support research, innovation, and AI-driven insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or related field.
- Experience in enterprise data architecture, metadata governance, and data modelling.
- Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data management.
- Experience applying AI-driven approaches to data or metadata management.
- Ability to work across complex environments and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications (e.g. DAMA, TOGAF, CDMP) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and govern enterprise ontologies and identifiers to ensure consistent and traceable data across the organisation.
- Implement scalable metadata management processes to improve data quality, lineage, and discoverability.
- Lead adoption of AI tools to automate metadata extraction and improve knowledge management.
- Partner with data owners to embed standards at the point of data creation.
- Design and refine scalable data models aligned to research and business needs.
- Develop data products supporting priority programmes and strategic use cases.
