As a Data Architect Senior within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Strongsville, OH, Birmingham-AL, Pittburgh-PA or Dallas-TX. Responsibilities include: Technical authority for enterprise data, partnering with engineering, architecture, and business teams to design, govern, and operationalize trusted data assets. This role applies deep expertise in data architecture, metadata management, lineage, and data quality controls to ensure consistency, regulatory alignment, and scalability across platforms, enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and risk aware decision making.

Requirements

  • Enterprise data architecture (relational and NoSQL)
  • Data governance, metadata management, lineage, and quality frameworks
  • SQL and data analysis across large, complex datasets
  • Analytics and reporting platforms (e.g., BI tools, data warehouses, data lakes)
  • Data integration and ETL/ELT patterns
  • Regulatory, risk, and financial data concepts (e.g., controls, traceability, auditability)
  • Strong partnership skills with technology, risk, and business stakeholders
  • University / college degree
  • 8+ years of industry relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops and optimizes highly complex, specialized data warehouses, with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture, to support business users and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
  • Analyzes business intelligence data and makes recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration for the enterprise.
  • Works with IT and business customers to develop requirements for designing the overall data warehouse architecture.
  • Provides support and technical guidance to ensure architecture and framework are aligned with BI application needs.
  • Leads and consults on the implementation and integration of data warehouses; ensures data is current and meets organizational quality and integrity standards.
