Data Annotation Specialist
About The Position
This is a Contract position based out of Menlo Park, CA. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, Psychology, Law, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in content moderation, data annotation, or policy enforcement roles.
- Proficiency with annotation tools and platforms.
- Ability to review multimedia content (text, images, video, audio).
- High accuracy in labeling nuanced and borderline cases.
- Ability to follow complex guidelines and operational definitions.
- Strong judgment in ambiguous cases.
- Ability to identify gaps or risks not explicitly covered by guidelines and escalate appropriately.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation and escalation.

- Experience with social media platforms and understanding of online community standards.
Responsibilities
- Review multimedia content (text, images, video, audio).
