Requirements

  • 48 mos. exp. in data analytics or statistical analysis or research methods
  • Associate core program in data analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; AND 30 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods
  • Undergraduate core program in data analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; AND 24 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods
  • Graduate core program in data analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; AND 12 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods
  • 36 mos. exp as a Data Analytics Associate, 66930
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above

Responsibilities

  • Researches complex data requests & collaborates with Epidemiology Investigators to identify business problems & opportunities to create dashboards to help management identify new data trends & recommend new solutions
  • Collects, analyzes, & documents business requirements for project proposals
  • Employs analytical results to address business problems &/or opportunities in formats accessible to non technical staff & stakeholders
  • Supports data specialists & scientists in guiding business leaders regarding interpretation & applicability of findings (e.g., program effectiveness, resource allocation, patient care best practices, impact on & patient outcomes, etc.)
  • Identifies & validates data sets
  • Identifies missing or incomplete data & variables in the EMSIRS & OTR data
  • Analyzes relevant data to understand business patterns & trends
  • Works with Epidemiology Investigators to investigate & resolve data discrepancies across EMS data systems
  • Utilizes Tableau & Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) to complete data visualization requests using Emergency Medical Services Incident Reporting System (EMSIRS) & Ohio Trauma Registry (OTR)
