Data Analytics Intern
About The Position
Angel City FC is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to join its Data team for the fall semester. The internship provides hands-on experience in coding and sports business analytics, along with exposure to the operations of a professional sports organization. The intern will support tracking key metrics across major business verticals, contribute to real projects, and collaborate with teammates throughout the organization. The role focuses on ticketing analytics, reporting, code and dashboard support, documentation, and research. The intern will help communicate complex insights to Ticket Sales and take part in additional assignments that support team learning and business needs. This is a paid, non-exempt internship based in Los Angeles, California, paying $19 per hour. The expected schedule is approximately 20–25 hours per week, with 2–3 days per week in the Los Angeles office. Occasional evening, weekend, or matchday work may be required depending on departmental needs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, recently graduated, or have equivalent education or experience; a background in data science, statistics, business, or a related area is preferred.
- Interest in sports, ticket sales, or data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with different teams and personalities.
- Curiosity, willingness to ask questions and learn, and ability to take initiative.
- Genuine interest in Angel City FC and its mission.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ticketing analytics reports on pricing optimization and forecasting.
- Assist with writing and reviewing code, testing dashboards, and creating documentation.
- Research and document legacy reporting and business KPIs while leveraging AI.
- Research applicable marketing trends and their impact on ticketing.
- Collaborate with Ticket Sales to communicate complex insights clearly and compellingly.
- Support additional projects and assignments that provide opportunities to learn and contribute to the team.
