About The Position

ILW is seeking an experienced data analytics and engineering professional to support advanced analytics, enterprise modernization, and operational decision-support initiatives within complex Air Force and federal consulting environments. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, modern data engineering practices, and cloud-native analytics ecosystems, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior Air Force stakeholders. This role requires an active Secret clearance and the ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry for data analytics and engineering
  • Strong experience with Python for ETL, analytics, and data transformation workflows
  • Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs and data integration solutions across diverse enterprise data environments
  • Experience supporting executive dashboards and operational reporting, including familiarity with Power BI integration and analytics data models
  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, metadata management, and data-centric technical documentation
  • Understanding of governance frameworks, operational metrics, and KPI-driven executive reporting ecosystems
  • Understanding of cloud-native data and analytics ecosystems, open-source technologies, machine learning frameworks, and data visualization platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and Air Force leadership stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous federal consulting environments
  • Ability to support cross-functional efforts spanning data engineering, analytics, visualization, and enterprise modernization initiatives
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and background screening
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable academic discipline; a Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for 3 years of general experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Databricks and Spark
  • Familiarity with DataOps practices, automated testing, and version-controlled workflows
  • Experience supporting Air Force operational environments

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical contributor and trusted advisor across an advanced analytics organization, providing expertise in data analytics, engineering, and modern data architectures.
  • Support and promote the adoption of advanced analytics, data engineering, and AI/ML capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations, and analytics-ready data structures that support operational and business objectives.
  • Recommend and implement data architectures and models for ingestion, integration, transformation, analytics, data science, and visualization workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, executives, program managers, and subject matter experts in both technical and non-technical environments.
  • Apply strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and critical thinking skills to complex technical and operational challenges.
  • Communicate technical concepts, insights, and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
