About The Position

The Data Analytics Engineer will help the Risk Data Team create a trusted, connected, and insight-driven risk ecosystem where high-quality data enables faster decisions, proactive risk management, and measurable improvements in control effectiveness. This hands-on role transforms fragmented risk, control, regulatory, and operational data into reliable, accessible, and actionable information through analytics, reporting, automation, governed datasets, and reusable data products. The role partners with risk, control, product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders to improve confidence in risk data, reduce manual reporting, and surface insights that help the organization understand trends, identify weaknesses, and prioritize action.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, risk analytics, data governance, operational reporting, or a related field.
  • Experience delivering analytics, reporting, or data product solutions from requirements through implementation and ongoing improvement.
  • Experience working with risk, compliance, controls, audit, cybersecurity, technology operations, insurance, or other complex business data is preferred.
  • Experience improving data quality, reconciling data sources, defining metrics, documenting business rules, or reducing manual reporting processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex risk data analytics initiatives from requirements through delivery, validation, implementation, and operational support.
  • Partner with risk, control, regulatory, product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders to translate business questions into clear data, analytics, and reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain trusted risk datasets, semantic models, dashboards, reports, and reusable analytics products using SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Python, and advanced Excel.
  • Integrate and analyze information from internal platforms, vendor tools, external sources, and operational systems to create a connected view of risk and control performance.
  • Automate data collection, preparation, validation, reconciliation, refreshes, and recurring reporting processes to reduce reliance on spreadsheets and manual effort.
  • Define, document, and apply common risk metrics, data definitions, business rules, and quality standards so reporting is consistent, traceable, and trusted.
  • Produce analytics that identify trends, control weaknesses, emerging risks, performance gaps, and opportunities to prioritize risk action.
  • Support governed, analytics-ready data products that can safely enable leadership reporting, operational insight, automation, and future AI-based capabilities.
  • Establish best practices for data sourcing, transformation, quality, documentation, governance, access, and reporting adoption.
  • Coach analysts and enable stakeholders through technical consultation, reusable templates, training, and practical guidance on using trusted risk data.
