Data Analytics Engineer

NscaleSeattle, WA
$80,000 - $110,000

About The Position

We're hiring a Data Analytics Engineer to surface the connections between GPU procurement, capacity planning, cost and margin, and financing decisions across the business. This role sits across Supply Chain, Finance, and Capacity, helping build the analytical threads that link decisions made in each function. Before dedicated specialists are in place across these domains, you’ll extend the team’s reach by creating integrated analysis, partnering with the Senior Analytics Engineer, and helping leadership see the full picture rather than a siloed view. Your work will help turn non-obvious business linkages into clearer, better-informed decisions. This is an opportunity to shape how Nscale thinks across critical parts of the business and to highlight where deeper analytical specialization will have the greatest impact.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of analytics experience, with direct work across at least two business domains
  • Experience spanning combinations such as supply chain and finance, operations and commercial, or procurement and capacity planning
  • Strong interest in understanding how different parts of the business connect, rather than going deep in only one area
  • Excellent written communication skills, including clear prose, structured arguments, and clean visuals
  • Ability to write effective analytical memos for different functional audiences, including Supply Chain and Finance
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and orienting quickly in a new business domain
  • Skill in identifying the right analytical question without needing a highly detailed brief
  • Enough technical range to build datasets and reports in Foundry or equivalent platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Foundry experience is a bonus
  • Background in AI infrastructure, GPU supply chain, hardware procurement, or high-growth operations is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

  • Float across Supply Chain, Finance, and Capacity to build the analytical products each function needs.
  • Identify non-obvious connections between procurement, capacity, cost structures, margin, and vendor strategy.
  • Surface cross-domain insights to leadership with clear data and structured analysis behind them.
  • Translate decisions made in one part of the business into implications for adjacent functions.
  • Write integrated analytical memos and briefings that bring cross-functional context to key decisions.
  • Frame complex business questions in a way that helps leadership evaluate trade-offs across domains.
  • Tailor written outputs for different audiences, including stakeholders in Supply Chain and Finance.
  • Present a more complete business picture when decisions might otherwise be made with a narrow lens.
  • Partner with the Senior Analytics Engineer to access the data needed from the Foundry analytics layer.
  • Build datasets and reports in Foundry or equivalent platforms to support business analysis.
  • Flag data coverage gaps across Supply Chain, Finance, and Capacity as they emerge.
  • Create useful analytical output even when problem statements or requirements are not fully defined.
  • Help scope the specialist roles that will eventually replace generalist coverage across these domains.
  • Use your cross-functional work to reveal where dedicated analytical capacity is most needed.
  • Extend team coverage during a period before domain-specific analytical roles are fully established.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive US compensation package (base + bonus + equity)
  • Performance reviews every 12 months
  • Dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions
  • Grow by leading critical cross-functional initiatives and shaping capital strategy
