About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer for a hybrid role with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity. The role is part of a product transformation initiative focused on improving development lifecycles and tracking agile metrics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a cohesive data ecosystem by integrating disparate data sources, developing compelling data narratives for executive audiences, and driving transformation through insightful analytics. This position requires an independent thinker who can identify trends and articulate data-driven stories to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or a related technology discipline
Extensive experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions
Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques (APIs, JSON/XML, JDBC/ODBC)
Experience in data analytics and reporting within a large financial institution
Proven ability in executive data storytelling, including creating trend analyses and scorecards
Experience working with Agile, Product, Engineering, or Technology delivery organizations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities
Experience with Jira

Advanced experience with Tableau or comparable visualization platforms

Responsibilities

Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for data engineering
Synthesize complex data into meaningful business insights and executive narratives
Design and build a data ecosystem that pulls together data from multiple sources, including BI tools and manual spreadsheets
Identify development bottlenecks, track and manage agile metrics, and build the narrative of process improvement
Develop visualizations suitable for executive presentations
Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted data engineering challenges
