About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a Data & Analytics Consultant to partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business problems, data needs, and analytics opportunities. This role involves translating business questions into data-driven analyses, dashboards, reports, and actionable insights. The consultant will also assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines, performing data quality checks, and collecting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources. A key aspect of the role is developing and presenting clear recommendations, visualizations, and storytelling to support decision-making, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver analytics solutions. The position also supports the development of repeatable reporting processes, data models, and analytical tools, while identifying opportunities for improvement in data quality, process efficiency, and analytical capabilities. Staying current on emerging data, analytics, and visualization methods is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST".
  • Candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen.
  • Minimum TWO (2) years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related analytical role. (6 months of internship or paid work thru college may be utilized as part of the 2 years).
  • Strong proficiency with Python or other programming language.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL.
  • Experience with CoPilot, ChatGPT and/or Claude to support faster coding or analysis.
  • Ability to gather requirements, analyze complex information, and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets and turning data into meaningful business recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • This is a hybrid role with requirement to go into one of the listed GH offices, candidate must be within a commutable distance to one of the offices listed.

  • Consulting experience supporting external clients or multiple business functions.
  • Experience with data preparation, automation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, data governance, or data quality practices.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience and/or interest in energy and utilities.
