About The Position

The Business Solutions Group (BSG) team sits within Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group (ISG) and functions as an in-house management consulting team supporting the firm with strategic program management and delivery, large-scale transformation, operational improvement, and regulatory change or remediation. The team partners with individual business lines, Legal/Risk/Compliance, and senior firm leadership to drive initiatives to completion. This individual will play a foundational role in shaping the team’s capabilities, delivering high-impact engagements. As a key member of the BSG team, this individual will work in cross-functional agile teams alongside various business stakeholders (e.g. business, technology, operations, risk and finance) to innovate and consult on developing new or enhancing existing technologies. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and industry experts to design and deliver high performance data frameworks and technical platforms that power advanced analytics engagements and solutions.

Requirements

Strong data analytics experience, including ability to leverage data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
Experience with machine learning models, LLM, agentic workflows and RAG implementation
Proven ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Proven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various business and functional stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately
Strong presentation skills, including ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations for various levels of management
Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
Eagerness to learn business and understand detailed technical requirements
A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience
Ability to manipulate and do computations on financial data sets using a programming language such as Python, R or similar languages
Demonstrated interest and skills in technology and process management
Experience building data pipelines in production and ability to work across structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
Interest in the sales and trading ecosystem – products, markets, risk management, finance and regulatory drivers
Experience building or scaling an internal consulting, strategy, PMO or transformation function
Project management, product development, business management, or management consulting in the financial services industry, ideally Wealth Management
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree within a quantitative/economics/finance field

Responsibilities

Support high quality, multi-workstream consulting engagements within ISG including front office, risk, finance, operations and technology
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and propose technology assets and solutions, ensuring seamless deployment and continuous upgradation of functionalities
Own deliverables across the automation journey to ensure the use cases and scenarios are properly documented & analyzed
Create & manage project plans, call out risks & issues proactively, report progress against the plan & track associated project benefits
Partner with BSG leadership and stakeholders on all stages of program planning and execution to ensure deadlines are met and assist with risk/issue resolution
Support change management/ process enhancements, control, and governance-related initiatives
Promote a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance culture that balances excellence with sustainability
