About The Position

Wood is recruiting for a Data Analyst to join its US Onshore Operations Americas business, supporting a chemical manufacturing facility in Washington, West Virginia. This position plays a key role in transforming operational and plant data into actionable insights that support production, maintenance, reliability, and site leadership teams. The successful candidate will work closely with operations personnel, engineers, maintenance teams, and digital stakeholders to develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and applications that improve visibility into plant performance and support data-driven decision making. This role is ideally suited for candidates who have experience working in a chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, refinery, specialty chemicals, or other industrial processing environment and understand how plant systems, production processes, maintenance activities, and operational data interact to drive business performance. This is a full-time, on-site position located at a chemical manufacturing facility in Washington, WV. Preference will be given to candidates residing in the local area. Relocation assistance and per diem are not available for this position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, chemical processing, industrial, energy, refinery, or other operational environment.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, including data modeling, Power Query, and DAX.
  • Familiarity with Cognite Data Fusion or similar industrial data platforms.
  • Basic experience developing or supporting Power Apps solutions.
  • Understanding of relational databases, data structures, and data integration concepts.
  • Ability to translate operational and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with plant operational data, maintenance data, production metrics, and reliability reporting.
  • Experience working with industrial systems such as SAP, process historians, MES, CMMS, engineering systems, or operational technology (OT) platforms.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform tools including Power Automate and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of industrial data governance and data management best practices.
  • Experience supporting multiple facilities or enterprise-wide reporting initiatives.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, asset performance metrics, maintenance workflows, and production reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) to access, structure, manage, and maintain industrial and operational datasets.
  • Perform data transformation, cleansing, and validation activities to ensure data quality and usability.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies between source systems, operational data, and reporting outputs.
  • Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, engineering, reliability, and business stakeholders to gather and define data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data models, table structures, integrations, and data flows.
  • Support the integration of manufacturing and operational data from various plant systems and enterprise applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to plant leadership and operational teams.
  • Create and maintain data models, relationships, calculations, and DAX measures.
  • Develop KPIs and visualizations focused on production, maintenance, reliability, safety, and operational performance.
  • Optimize reports for usability, performance, scalability, and end-user adoption.
  • Support ongoing enhancements and troubleshooting of existing reporting solutions.
  • Ensure reporting outputs accurately reflect current business processes, operational metrics, and plant performance indicators.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Power Apps used to capture, manage, and interact with operational and maintenance data.
  • Support integrations between Power Apps, SharePoint, Power BI, and other business systems.
  • Collaborate with users to improve application functionality, usability, and reporting effectiveness.
  • Support Power Platform governance standards and best practices.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, IT, and Digital teams to improve data accessibility and visibility across the site.
  • Assist in the development and standardization of plant performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and eliminate manual data collection efforts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing meaningful analysis and visualization of operational data.
  • Document processes, solutions, and best practices while promoting knowledge sharing across teams.
