About The Position

This role involves turning federal program operational data into trustworthy numbers by defining measures, writing SQL for data reconciliation, building reports and dashboards, tracing discrepancies, and replacing manual reporting with repeatable workflows. Adaptability and a demonstrated capacity to learn new concepts, systems, and tools are essential as projects evolve. The work is impactful and offers opportunities for growth within the firm, with a focus on moving the best people to where the hardest problems are.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
  • Practical command of SQL and spreadsheets.
  • Scripting (Python or R) where it makes the work faster or safer.
  • Discipline of defined measures: documented rules, reconciled sources, and reports that refresh without surprises.
  • Judgment to choose the chart that serves the reader, and restraint to leave out the one that does not.
  • Precision to work where accuracy and auditability are not optional.
  • 3+ years of data analysis experience.
  • Strong working command of SQL.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards in a business intelligence tool (Power BI, Tableau, or comparable).
  • Familiarity with scripting for analysis (Python or R).
  • Ability to own an analysis from question through delivered, documented answer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud data platforms on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Federal program, financial, or performance data experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted developer and analysis tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Defining measures with process owners and documenting business rules.
  • Writing SQL to transform platform data into clean, reconciled analytical datasets.
  • Building recurring reports and dashboards with documented measures, refresh schedules, and access controls.
  • Tracing and explaining data discrepancies to their source.
  • Replacing manual reporting with repeatable, tested workflows.
  • Experimenting, failing, learning, and repeating quickly.
  • Owning an outcome from question through delivered, documented answer.
  • Building new capabilities, tools, and lines of business for the firm.
