About The Position

Crowned Grace International is recruiting a Data Analyst with a Public Trust or higher clearance for the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (GCERC). The Data Analyst provides one dedicated, on-site technical and administrative support resource to the GCERC Programs Supervisor, with a focus on data entry, records management, and the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ecosystem restoration activities. The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (RESTORE Council) is a small federal agency established after the Deepwater Horizon disaster to develop and carry out restoration efforts across the Gulf Coast. The council is led by the governors of the five Gulf states and the heads of six federal agencies. It is responsible for funding and overseeing ecological and economic recovery projects initiated by its members.

Requirements

  • Active Public Trust or higher security clearance
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in organizing and managing data, working with computer-generated reports, and extracting information from databases to develop summaries and support activities such as technical evaluations, management, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively exchange information and convey ideas and concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to receive training and direction.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple project members and teams located in different geographical areas.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capability to read, interpret, and apply general procedural guidelines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and Google Suite applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Presentations) is essential.
  • A successful background check and drug screen is required

Responsibilities

  • Support program staff in tracking application assignments and reviews by assisting in the development and preparation of essential datasets for incorporation into the COAST SharePoint site, including quality-control checks on data being incorporated.
  • Work with the Records Management contractor and program staff to identify and sort records with records-management issues, acting as a liaison to facilitate resolution and organize records according to applicable records-management schedules.
  • Maintain a records-management tracking spreadsheet that allows the Programs Supervisor to monitor progress toward records-management requirements.
  • Track completion of required field site visits and Field Site Visit Observation Forms, sending reminders to program staff as needed.
  • Support the organization of program staff documentation and the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide logistical support, including active listening and note-taking during staff calls, then formatting and publishing notes in standard office formats to the team.
  • Maintain and track progress on staff assignments and document-development schedules.
  • Support the drafting, formatting, and revision of program documents, figures, and graphics.
  • Support the development of presentations in standard office formats, including Microsoft Office and Google Docs, with correctly built graphics and formatting.
  • Prepare and deliver bi-weekly status reports covering tasks, initiatives, and project plans.
  • Meet bi-weekly with the GCERC Director of Ecosystem Restoration Programs to review status reports, identify action items, and report on the status of those action items.
