About The Position
HII – Mission Technologies is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Department of War (DoW) Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role is part of a major IT modernization effort focused on strengthening readiness, improving system performance, and supporting critical decision-making. The Data Analyst will work closely with technical and mission stakeholders to ensure data quality, accessibility, and integration across modernized platforms. This position requires a SECRET security clearance and is onsite in Arlington, VA. The company encourages all levels of applicants to apply.
Requirements
- LEVEL 2 - 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field.
- LEVEL 3 - 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field.
- LEVEL 4 - 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with DoW compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment; collaborative team mindset.
- A SECRET level security clearance is required.
Nice To Haves
- TS/SCI is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large, complex datasets from multiple legacy and modernized systems to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, and cybersecurity teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility across modernization efforts.
- Translate technical data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support data integration activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Department of War (DoW) data governance standards.
- Contribute to the development of data quality metrics and automated validation processes.
