About The Position

The Data Analyst is an analytical and detail-oriented individual. They work on the quarterly updates to our cost product by collecting data from various sources, conducting online research and performing general data analysis to support our ownership and operating cost calculations. They also generate and maintain reports and dashboards as requested to support business needs. They work with other teams to streamline processes and improve data quality and reliability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/certification
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, where necessary
Proficiency working with databases using SQL
Basic proficiency with programming languages like R, or Python
1-3 years of experience as a data analyst or in a related field
Ability to analyze data and communicate insights effectively
Strong Excel Skills
A growth-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous learning

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with Power BI
Knowledge of or interest in heavy equipment, construction estimation, ownership and operating cost analysis, or related industries
Experience conducting online research

Responsibilities

Update equipment cost data quarterly, ensuring changes are well researched, justifiable, and well documented
Conduct industry research to understand and stay on top of equipment cost trends
Support ad-hoc data pull requests, reporting and dashboards
Work with engineers and other teams to streamline processes
Work closely with the Data Quality team to ensure quality standards are upheld
Improve documentation and transparency in all processes
Audit existing processes to find pain points and improvements in efficiency
