About The Position

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Data Analyst to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our C5ISR Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division contract.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to think critically and apply analytical methodologies to raw data to present clear and precise recommendations.

  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions.

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least four (4) years of experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel, and potentially statistical programming languages, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform progressively complex experience testing complex mechanical, electromechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Perform professional and scientific work requiring the design, development and adaptation of mathematical and statistical modeling and scientific methods to analyze operational and situational problems and data sets.
  • Apply statistical analysis to time-series data and generate relevant summary statistics to characterize system performance across test conditions.
  • Supplement quantitative test results with visual analytics to support data-driven decision-making and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop interactive data visualizations (e.g., using MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) to present system performance and test results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with team members to design data dashboards or reporting tools that enhance visibility into test outcomes and system behavior trends.
  • Debug, improve, and extend data analysis tools to support automated processing, statistical analysis, and visual reporting.
  • Develop and operate QuickLook tools to generate immediate, high-level views of collected data during testing, enabling timely review of system behavior and verify proper data capture configuration.
  • Analyze data related to integrated GPS receiver, Inertial Measurement Unit and other complementary sensors.
  • Analyze data related to position accuracy, position confidence levels, and signal integrity.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate system performance in both benign and Global Positioning System (GPS) threat environments.
  • Operate GPS simulator to evaluate system performance under complex Electronic Warfare (EW) threats.
  • Operate test equipment such as power supply, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, etc. for the purpose of evaluating various aspects of system performance.
  • Support local testing activities in the PNT lab, APG and local areas, including setting up equipment (units under test and test equipment), troubleshooting, ensuring proper equipment configuration for data collection, and data analysis.
  • Support field test events as required by PM PNT. Support in the field includes setting up equipment (units under test and test equipment), troubleshooting, ensuring proper equipment configuration for data collection, and data analysis.
  • Write technical reports on findings.
  • Brief results to external stakeholders and answer questions. Ability to defend results with technical analysis of test data.
  • Assist in defining and documenting system requirements for current and future systems.
