Data Analyst (Senior Consultant)
About The Position
Guidehouse seeks a Data Analyst to support data analytics and visualization, program evaluation, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and operational improvement engagements across federal civilian agencies. This role will help clients transform complex datasets into actionable insights that support strategic decision making, organizational design and staffing model development, workforce planning, and performance management. As a Data Analyst, you will work with multidisciplinary consulting teams, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders to collect and structure complex datasets, perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, develop data visualizations and management tools to support data-driven decision making, construct models and algorithms to support forecasting efforts, and deliver data-driven recommendations for complex public sector challenges.
Requirements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements.
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
- Three (3) to Five(5) years of professional experience, including 3+ years of experience performing quantitative analysis.
- Advanced Excel, data analysis, and visualization skills, including the ability to develop creative methods of joining multiple, disparate datasets to produce meaningful insights
- Demonstrated ability to develop visualizations and communicating analytical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with and structuring large and complex datasets to extract meaningful decision-ready insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to develop executive-level briefing materials.

- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, or similar tools.
- Experience with forecasting, statistical analysis, or performance measurement.
- Experience supporting workforce studies, program evaluations, or organizational assessments.
- Experience presenting analytical findings to executive stakeholders.
- Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Public Policy, Operations Research, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and clients to collect, validate, structure, manage, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to produce actionable insights that can drive client decision making.
- Conduct benchmarking and comparative analyses, research, and data collection activities to support organizational assessments, program evaluations, and workforce studies.
- Perform forecasting, trend analysis, and scenario modeling to support organizational design and staffing model development, workforce planning, and performance management efforts.
- Develop client-ready dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products that can support client executive oversight and operational decision making.
- Translate analytical findings into client-ready recommendations that can support strategic decision-making and organizational transformation.
- Support survey design, survey analysis, and qualitative research activities.
- Support the development of client-ready deliverables, including formal written reports, presentations, and executive-level briefings for client stakeholders.
- Facilitate client meetings and working sessions.
- Contribute to proposal development, thought leadership, and internal capability-building initiatives.
