The Data Analyst is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of databases. The role ensures computer systems, equipment, and procedures are functioning properly for optimal efficiency by participating in reviews and overhauls. This role assists in the oversight of network security and compliance with industry requirements. The Data Analyst will assist internal and external customers with product or systems questions in a prompt and courteous manner. They will be knowledgeable about computer software with an emphasis on POS systems, able to answer questions about them in a timely manner, and train in their proper usage. They will diagnose computer hardware and software problems and repair or arrange for repair in a timely manner. The role requires maintaining a high degree of familiarity with natural foods and the natural foods industry, and staying up to date on new developments in the IT field relating to new products and services, new standards, and potential security risks. Crafted data analysis reporting should be highly organized, accessible, and thorough. The Data Analyst helps to maintain computers and computer systems, ensuring they are in good working order. They handle all equipment in a safe manner, are alert to unsafe equipment and remove any equipment that is unsafe from usage. They ensure department teamwork through trust and open communication, and work with other departments in a collaborative and cooperative manner. They accept responsibility for their own actions, exemplify honesty, integrity and ethics, contribute constructively to the morale of the department and Co-op, show initiative in solving issues and achieving departmental and organizational goals, and are able to give and receive constructive criticisms.
