About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for uncovering insights from complex datasets and driving data-informed decision-making. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization using modern tools and techniques. You will work across functional teams to transform raw data into actionable business insights, support reporting needs, and contribute to data-driven strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in BI/Data Analyst or a similar role.
  • Experience working with Large Language Models like Copilot and/or ChatGPT.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with tools such as Databricks or MS Fabric is an asset.
  • Experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with AI-assisted features in platforms such as Fabric, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Domain-specific knowledge will be required in some cases.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently use SQL for writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and subqueries.
  • Utilize Python programming skills for advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation tasks, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Seaborn.
  • Understand relational database structures and optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of principles pertaining to data warehousing, data lakes, Lakehouses, data marts, and other data stores specialized for analytics and reporting.
  • Showcase proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas, and VBA scripting.
  • Perform data cleaning and transformation, handling missing values, normalizing datasets, addressing outliers, and converting raw or unstructured data into usable formats using tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel.
  • Conduct data profiling and statistical analysis, with a solid understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, correlation, variance analysis, and statistical significance testing.
  • Understand ETL concepts and data pipelines, including data flow from source to destination and the impact of data transformations on analysis.
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards for monitoring business metrics in near real-time.
  • Employ an AI-first approach, leveraging AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude to enhance analysis, automate routine tasks, and improve efficiency.
  • Align data interpretations with business objectives, KPIs, and stakeholder goals to deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Detect and flag issues such as anomalies, inconsistencies, and duplication, demonstrating awareness of data privacy requirements, data lineage, and quality assurance processes.
  • Use Git or similar tools for maintaining version history of scripts and collaborating with data teams.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders using strong written and oral communication skills, eliciting/clarifying requirements and conveying findings to audiences with varying technical abilities.
