About The Position

The Data Analyst position will work in strong collaboration with various internal departments to handle highly technical tasks involving data collection, analysis, and interpretation. This role plays a pivotal part by developing accurate, consistent, and reliable queries and models to various bank datasets to build reports as well as driving insight and overall efficiency to workflow processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in business / Information Technology or other related field) or the equivalent additional experience.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders documenting existing processes, recommending efficiencies, and delivering solutions to maximize process output.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products including Word, Excel, MS Teams, and Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with data analysis software including Microsoft Power BI.
  • Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving – Works well under pressure and deadlines with complex issues. Applies analysis to data and compliance requirements, identifying trends, addressing potential risks, and providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives.
  • Attention to Detail – Maintains a high level of accuracy, ensuring all records, reports, and metrics are precise and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Risk Assessment & Management – Evaluates situations to assess risk, applying appropriate policies, procedures, and judgment to anticipate and mitigate potential issues in alignment with the bank’s risk tolerance and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Relationship Building, Collaboration & Communication – Works effectively with internal and external customers, across teams and departments, communicating information clearly and building partnerships to meet shared goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with reporting in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Preferred experience working with FIS core/ancillary banking product applications. FIS Business Intelligence Center (BIC) experience is a plus.
  • Coding ability in SQL, DAX and M is Preferred. Any further experience in Python, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, TypeScript is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and interpreting data, analyzing results using a variety of tools, statistical techniques and producing regular reports based on set requirements.
  • Working with large data sets, data collection systems and other infrastructure that optimizes statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Filtering and cleaning data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code or logical problems.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Working closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting developed data pipelines, data lake and data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Propose solutions to facilitate constructive discussion while fostering an environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and growth.
  • Keep risks, issues, and scope of changes under control. Encourage a risk-awareness culture in project teams by consistently requesting feedback related to worries and roadblocks while assessing the impact on factors such as schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Deliver value, add clarity and remove ambiguity from product capabilities and enhancement goals.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
