About The Position

We are seeking a proactive Data Analyst who will lead the development of business intelligence capabilities across the organization with a primary focus on Power BI dashboards, data modeling, and actionable insights. Reporting to the Vice-President, Business Technology, this role is accountable for delivering high-quality, timely, and business-relevant reporting, and will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing the organization’s data and analytics capabilities. This posting is to fill an existing vacancy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Business or Economics or relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst and/or Business Analyst role within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent Power BI and Excel skills with the ability to learn business technology applications.
  • Strong knowledge of wealth management and related processes.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce data and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, written and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, strong team player, self-starter and ability to provide training to staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to translate business insight requirements into technical solutions.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and data models for executive, operational and sales reporting, as well as analyzing data from different systems to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partnering with different teams regarding reporting procedures and/or discrepancies to establish controls and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and reports.
  • Automating recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Managing enterprise-wide sales reporting in the system.
  • Maintaining and managing data management strategies to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Supporting data governance and quality initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborating with development partners and internal departments to implement solutions and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Communicating progress and status updates to internal departments (as needed) and management.

  • Annual salary (hiring range): $70,000 - $90,000 (subject to the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and skills), plus annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) bonus.
