Data Analyst

Schweitzer Engineering LaboratoriesPullman, WA

About The Position

This position is part of an early push to change how Manufacturing Operations uses data day to day. The Data Analyst joins the Process Control and Reliability team at a time when data is becoming central to how equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance decisions are made across SEL. Process Control and Reliability focuses on how manufacturing equipment behaves over time and why failures happen. The goal is to reduce unplanned downtime and help teams prevent issues instead of reacting after the fact. This position plays a major part in delivering critical data to inform decision makers. In this role, the Data Analyst works closely with engineers, technicians, and system owners to build and improve how manufacturing equipment data is collected, transformed, and used. That includes strengthening data sources, improving indicators, and applying statistical methods that support root cause analysis and predictive maintenance efforts. The work directly supports Manufacturing teams by giving them information they can trust and act on. This role shapes how data supports Manufacturing Operations and reinforces SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing principles through everyday decisions and practices.
