About The Position

The Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) is dedicated to enhancing Arizona's workforce and creating pathways to well-paying jobs, aligning with Governor Hobbs's objectives. OEO functions as the state's workforce planning coordinator, conducting economic and demographic research, and providing employment and demographic analysis. The office also provides support to the Arizona Finance Authority (AFA), facilitating streamlined financing for businesses, community infrastructure, and first-time homebuyers. AFA focuses on delivering affordable financing efficiently, serving as a central resource for various financial needs to foster Arizona's growth and development. This specific role supports the Rural Health Transformation Program by analyzing education and credential pathways. The analyst will create dashboards, tables, and analytical outputs, ensuring methodological consistency. Responsibilities include maintaining data dictionaries, validation logs, and documentation for transparency and audit readiness. The position involves collaborating with community colleges and educational partners to clarify program structures, credential requirements, and reporting standards, and to help partners understand how their data contributes to statewide workforce and program evaluations. This position may offer remote work within Arizona, contingent on business needs and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience performing analytic work.
• Knowledge of data validation, cleaning, and reconciliation techniques.
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics and cohort analysis.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and products.
• Knowledge of Workforce programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Public Policy, Education Research, or related quantitative field required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct education and credential pathway analyses to support evaluation of training programs and workforce outcomes within the Rural Health Transformation Program.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, tables, and analytic outputs, ensuring consistency in methods, definitions, and reporting across deliverables.
• Perform data validation and quality assurance activities, including reviewing datasets for completeness, accuracy, and consistency prior to analysis.
• Serve as a point of contact for partner inquiries related to data submissions, reporting requirements, and interpretation of analytic outputs.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, summaries, and appendices accompanying analytic products.
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure alignment between data processing, analysis, and reporting timelines.
