About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives through advanced data analysis, reporting, and scorecard development. The role involves working with injury and safety datasets to generate actionable insights, identify trends, and support leadership decision-making through executive dashboards and analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or analytics roles
  • Strong proficiency in: Excel (advanced), SQL, Python/R (preferred)
  • Data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
  • Experience working with large datasets, data cleansing, and trend analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather injury and safety data from internal systems.
  • Validate, cleanse, and preprocess datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Structure datasets for multi-dimensional analysis (time-based, program/area, severity levels, employee attributes).
  • Perform detailed analysis of injury data, including top injury types and trend comparisons against baseline periods.
  • Analyze high-severity incidents such as: Concussions, Amputations, Fractures.
  • Conduct month-over-month and year-over-year comparisons to identify patterns and deviations.
  • Generate insights on: Recordable safety events by program, area, or function; Recordable events by employee tenure or experience level.
  • Develop analytical models and reports to identify: Injury frequency and severity trends; Emerging risk areas and operational hotspots.
  • Perform comparative analysis across: Time periods (monthly, quarterly, annual trends); Organizational segments (business units, functions, tenure groups).
  • Design and develop EHS performance scorecards aligned with client formats and industry standards.
  • Build structured scorecards to track: Compliance adherence; Performance metrics; Continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create program-specific scorecards tailored to individual operational units.
  • Align reporting and scorecard formats with enterprise or site-level frameworks (e.g., BCA or equivalent).
  • Standardize KPIs, metrics definitions, and reporting templates for scalability across multiple locations.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or PowerPoint.
  • Deliver structured outputs including: Trend charts (monthly/yearly comparisons); Heatmaps and distribution analyses; Leadership-ready insight summaries.
  • Work closely with EHS leadership, data owners, and cross-functional teams for data validation and insights alignment.
  • Present findings, insights, and dashboards to stakeholders through periodic reviews and walkthroughs.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through clear storytelling and visual analytics.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine analysis, dashboards, and reporting outputs.
  • Expand analytics scope by introducing new metrics, dimensions, or predictive insights as required.
