About The Position

The Office of Management, Analysis, and Planning (OMAP) is seeking a motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team. This role supports data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with data to identify key information and assist in informing initiatives.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.

  • Experience with Dash and Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets from various sources.
  • Contribute to the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor department performance.
  • Perform descriptive statistical analysis on data.
  • Conduct statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other relevant methods.
  • Support the creation of reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate data findings to stakeholders.
  • Help identify trends and patterns in data to contribute to decision-making and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Create clear and informative data visualizations using tools such as Dash and Tableau.
  • Communicate data effectively through visual representations.
  • Assist in exploring data for insights and potential relationships.
  • Support more senior analysts in data-related tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining automated reports and dashboards.
  • Participate in data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data quality.
  • Contribute to the implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
