About The Position
One of our direct client is urgently looking for a Data Analyst @ San Bruno- CA. This is a 6-month contract role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in performing data analysis & reporting.
- Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasets, summarize findings and make actionable recommendations.
- High proficiency with Excel based data analysis.
- Experience driving projects toward clear business goals, testable hypotheses and action-oriented outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work effectively both on teams as well as be self-motivated, task oriented and organized.
Nice To Haves
- MS/PhD would be a strong plus.
- Industry experience preferably in Payments, Risk, Financial Services would be a plus.
Responsibilities
- Validate partner settlements through proactive and reactive mitigation of Payment Fraud and Seller Risk.
- Help in managing the Marketplace commission engine to drive business growth and develop different metrics around commission programs.
- Create operational metrics to drive better efficiency and help reduce partner payment friction.
- Perform Data Analysis and Reporting across different payments/risk initiatives (chargebacks reduction, new risk controls).
- Understanding and resolving operational issues in coordination with Partner Payment Support teams.
